Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a temporary Data Entry Specialist in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for ensuring the completeness of paper reports and resolving any incomplete or inaccurate data. The Data Entry Specialist will then sort and type the data from the paper formats into electronic databases and spreadsheets. The ideal candidate is proficient at typing, computer savvy, and has a knack for detail.

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all necessary forms have been received and are complete.
  • Resolves any missing or ambiguous form information.
  • Enters customer information from scanned forms into spreadsheets and database programs without mistakes.
  • Organizes and archives scanned electronic form files.
  • Performs periodic backups to ensure data integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a data entry or related role.
  • Familiarity with using web-based applications, computers and peripheral devices, Microsoft Excel, and Windows operating system computer files.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Good command of English both reading and writing.
  • Fast typing skills.
  • Organize data chronologically and according to other criteria.

 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
